I like to make things, but this is my favorite creation of late: the Strawberry Pizza!
Pizza Dough (makes 4 pizzas):
- 750g White Flour
- 0.5 Litres lukewarm water
- 25g Yeast
- 2 ts Salt
- 3-4 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- Crème fraiche
- Fresh Mozzarella
- Fresh Chilli (optional)
- Cracked black pepper
Pizza Dough: Add the water and the yeast to a bowl and whisk it together. Add the salt. Add the flour a little at a time, mixing as you go. You will have to switch to using your hands towards the end. Work it with your hands until it is consistent. Mix in the olive oil at the end. Let it rise in a big bowl in the fridge for at least 3 hours.
To make the pizzas, just take 1/4 of the dough and work it from the outside in to a ball on a floured bench. After a few minutes you can try to flatten it out into a disc. To get it super thin (you want this) you should use a rolling pin. Once it is thin as can be, stick it on a pre-heated baking tray.
Add all the toppings to the base, starting with the Crème fraiche followed by the mozzarella. Put the tray in a preheated oven at the highest temperature possible. Wait for greatness.
Before serving, drizzle with sweet balsamico vinegar.
To try an alternative, you could add toasted pine seeds and ruccula. I have experiment with onions but I don’t recommend it.
